My buddy wants me to go to NB Canada this year on a deer hunt. I know the deer numbers are low there but what can I expect ? Anyone hunt there ? How is the trophy potential ?

Pretty good i would have thought. I go down most summers, and have seen lots of big racked deer in either park areas, or on our property. It's an up north kind of place, so one expects large deer, lots of moose too.
Downside is one needs a guide to hunt deer here. If your buddy is a resident, he can get a simplified guides license for friends and family, which he may well have. I don't hunt the province myself because of the guide requirement.

the trophy potential is high but we have low, low, low herd numbers they recovered a little last year but still low I only know 2 people that got bucks last year and I only saw one spiker. On a good year we have there are lots of bucks dragged out but for the last 4 years there is hardly anything. But if you want a deer that is huge body and big rack it is the place
