As some may be aware already, Global/Shaw has announced that it plans to cancel three of Canada's hunting shows, being Canada in the Rough (top rated hunting show in Canada), The Canadian Tradition and Hunter and Angler Television, which are broadcast on Saturday mornings on Global TV.
It has come to the attention of the law-abiding Canadian hunting community that there are no sound business reasons behind this decision and it appears that outside influences may be involved.
This is a direct attack on not only our national heritage and a legal activity, but it is an outright attack on freedom of speech and expression as well. Television programs that depict violence against human beings are broadcast, yet, it seems that shows that show real reality television and hunting in an ethical, legal and responsible manner are not welcome.
Please, do your part and let your voice be heard. You can contact Global/Shaw and their advertisers by using the following e-mail addresses:

Most importantly, if you are a Shaw subscriber, as I was up until a few days ago, consider moving your service to a competitor and be certain to tell them why you are doing so. Insist that your reason goes directly to management, as I did. It does achieve results.
If we allow the Animal Rights Advocates (ARA) to get even a foothold in their fight against hunting, they will use it to build momentum. Do not be complacent and allow your voice to be unheard. Act today.
