finnbear I will respectfully have to disagree with you on your last post. With the current state of Mexico's drug Cartell and the immigration issue, Americans are a target. Being kidnapped is very possible nowdays. Two of my friends that have recently traveled down to Mexico said they were harrased and one decided to cut his visit short due to the anti American nonsense.
To me it's to bad as I would enjoy going down there and seeing more of the country and doing it while hunting would be great. However I don't see myself venturing south of our Border anytime soon.

O'Connor spoke wonderfully of hunting in Mexico, saying it was beautiful country full of game. I say give it hell, you can be kidnapped anywhere and how often is someone going to attempt to mess with an armed big game hunter?

It's funny I travel to the Philippines frequently since my wife is from there and I see that it's #4 on the list. I have never really felt threatened in my travels there but I also don't go to seedy areas where trouble could occur. I agree with you that you need to keep your wits about you while in foreign countries. I just have never had a good experience in Mexico and have heard of many people having the same or worse experiences there.

I guess some people dont watch the news regularly, the southern border is a warzone. I wouldnt be caught dead in mexico. Any country where the citizens will risk their lives crossing hundreds of miles of desert to get out of, is probably not a great place to be, I dont care what kind of deer they got there. Seriously, with all the great places to hunt in America, why would someone what to go to a corrupt, 3rd world, lawless, hellhole to hunt?
