I am looking to moose hunt this year, i need a place to go though. Both my dad and I are in pool A and are willing to do the drive. If anyone has an existing camp or is looking to start one drop me an e mail. Am willing to meet up before the draw deadline to see if we have the same opinions and ethics about hunting. I have shot a few moose but my dad has never been, he wants to try it before he gets too old (he likes them easy hunts now but have warned him about moose hunting and the work involved when one is harvested). Gun hunt would be prefered as dad doesn' t bow hunt, but for years to come i would do either.

Well Syd, i was looking at the Ear falls area before your post, heard a few good things about the area. I see what you mean about a little pricey, too rich for my blood, was thinking more of an outpost camp or set up tents out in the back 40. I fully understand as a guide its your lively hood, but heck i am just working class stiff who wants to hunt moose. Where would i be able to pick up a map or two for Ear falls? Or Red Lake, still a few weeks to decide on where to hunt before tags have to be in.

Hey Dobber
I know what you mean its too rich for my blood too! Nice though cause i get paid to be there as a matter of fact I leave a week tommorow for the summer. Anyways another thing you may want to do is either do it yourself up there or contact Woman River Camp they are right down the road from us but all you do is rent the cabin from them and do everytthingelse yourself he has boats and all that kinda stuff real nice guy that owns the camp! Used to be a guide at Canada north give him a call at 1-866-fishwrc his name is Paul Mossip he is a lot cheaper and sounds more like what you are looking for as for Maps I will ask some of the guys that I work with and get back to you on that!
