Another here from Winnipeg. Harvested a 120 classfrom Chatfield with my ML this past year. I saw that 180 class from Chatfield at the Gunton buck night. Pretty amazing rack, excellent mass. You have to check out the Big Buck night in Poplarfield (held last Sat. of the rifle season and the Buck Night in Gunton (held the Sat. after the rifle season). There were some excellent racks at both.Perhaps next year some of us on HuntingNet should meet at one of these events, share a cold one, and swap the bull in person. (at the Gunton night they also silent auctioned off 2 nice savage rifles, .243 and a .270). If you guys would be interested Gunton would be the place to hook up next year (since it is the week after the season and it is more central). Let me know.

Any of you guys going in for the elk draw. Question, can you put in for both gun and bow? I know that you can only get one license but can you put in for both. Hoping to be drawn for bow again but I hear it is sort of a waiting list for the gun license (put in for 4 years ....get it in your 5th) Anyone with the inside scoop?

If your after a gun tag then you'll have to stop putting in for bow it's a level 2 and you'll be level 5 if you've been drawn last year probably take 3-4 years or more.
I suggest just keep bowhunting
