my cousins deer from the side...too bad his tines weren't taller. Taxidermist said he was on the decline but was a pig at one time probably.

Great pics guys. I'm glad to seesomeone got a nice Canadian buck. I didn'tget a buck in the Bow Zone, but passed ontwo 8pts. They were roughly the size of what I shot last year, so they walked. I'm looking for a GOOD one, and did see 3 shooters, but they didn't offer me a shot opp. I saw 13 buck, and about 16 doe during the week.It was a great hunt either way though.I love just beingthere!
It was real warm for this time of year (Nov 12-17) so I'm going to hunt the 4th week of Nov next year. This should give me better odds of colder temps and snow. I keep hearing, the colder the better, for buck movement up there.;)

Early,

Sounds like you had a great hunt. I agree that the 4th week is a much better week to be up there. I'm heading to SK on Saturday and it should be an awsome hunt.

****ty news early...I was wondering how you would fair with those conditions. It was windy everyday up there. I was surprised at the amount of deer rutting though, the sign was crazy and the deer were moving a bit north of you. Unfortunately the time of year makes little difference in snow/cold. I've been trying to time it right every year and it's almost always off. If you hit a chinook its warm. Try the end though and see if it's better, I've found the middle of the month is about right. There's always next year bud! That's what I keep telling myself.
