Default Heh, Canucks what are you up to ?

Now that we're pretty much done with most of our hunting seasons this year, what is every one up to? Who's got cabin fever?
With this warm weather I'm starting to get out ice fishing more. Most years we really don't go much until Feb. or March. Anyone hunting an coyotes. We're crawling with them here in Manitoba. I think some buddies and I are going to go out and try to reduce the population somewhat.
Anyone planning next years hunting trips yet?

Ice fishing and thinking about doing some fox and coyote calling.

Just looking through the hunting store catalogues (looking for a scope and rings). Waiting for some good ice on Simcoe. The way this winter is going I don't think we'll make it out.

I've been keeping my eyes open for a bow.
Two weeks is just too short for deer hunting, but if I can learn how to use a bow before next fall I'll be set.

What am I doing? Eating deer sausages, looking out the window at the brown ground where the snow is supposed to be, and arguing with my wife about where to hang the new antlers. I say the living room, she says the crawlspace in the basement.

Borealboy,

I had a similar problem with my antlers. My wife really hates living in the garage now.

I can sympathize with both you guys. When my wife and I got married and bought the house I started hauling out deer head and mounted antlers. She had never seen most of them before because I didn't keep them at my apartment. She says " where the heck are all those going". I said "In the rec room" BOOM!
After alot of arguing the head and some of the big antlers are in the rec room the rest are in the garage.
I'm thinkin I should try some turkey hunting this spring though. I think it would be a blast.
