Whitetail Down!!! Whitetail Down!!!

Shot a very cool young non-typ tonite, i have absolutely no idea what it will score. To be honest I don't care, he is by far the coolest deer i've ever seen on the hoof. will post pics and story tommorow I hope. Glad to hear that everyone else is finally getting into some critters.

Sask.

looks like things are looking up here...people shooting, missing, all good to hear:DThe sun has set on my mule deer circus with the bow for another year, but I must admit I think I have a good strategy for next season. Anyhow...way to go boy's! Can't wait to see the pics sask. Snow fell hard last night so I'm thinking rut will be in full swing mighty soon if not already. Pics of my weekend attached!

Wait a go Saskabush, look forward to the details and pics of your nontypical buck.

JD, pictures "WOW" asper usual. Nice to see you got some birds as well. Moose are funny that way aren't they, live where they can't be hunted:eek:! Happening here for years...well until this year when they opened a draw in previously no tag areas. From whatI have heard or seen they are gettin' smacked pretty good in these virgin zones. I too figured out a strategy for mulies, "don't hunt them":D:D. Well at least in the farmland where they think they are bloody whitetails[&:]. Here it is cool, snow is wanting to fall but nothing but a dusting so far. Saying that may change in the near future and it certainly won't hurt to bring things along in the rut!

Seeing ML is all but done except in the ML zone I took the opportunity to check out the 7 mag and which loadsI was going to go with this year for deer. Been humming and hawing wether to go back to old faithful or stick with my elk load. So sinceI have no animals to share, here is some paper I shot instead. 150 NBT"old faithful" was my choice, BTW.
