I have noticed that they've got a kind of competion going on in the deer hunting forum about Northern and Southern bucks so lets show them what we got up here in the True North. I'll start things off with a nice 4x4 we got this year.

Nice animals guys. And nice pic JD in Alberta. A pic in the field with some "habitat" in the background is a lot more pleasing to look at than a garage floor or pick up bed shot.
Shooting this Alberta buck was a "real drag". .300 savage at about 110 yards.

My son Ben got his first buck last fall. A pretty nice one that I rattled in for him. He made one good shot with a .243 and the deer went about 40 yards.

Both deer were taken North of Rocky Mountain House in 2005.

Thanks Duffy...I agree, I'm always trying to include the habitat in the back of all my pics. Question for you, not that I'm going to raid your spots, but I've been doing some work out around Rocky for the last few years and was wondering what the hunting pressure is like. There sure is alot of country where I was working but wasn't sure if there would be 1000 guys in red for Whitetails. I usually go up north of Edmonton for my deer but something a little closer to home would be nice too. Any advice would be appreciated.
