RE: Newfoundland Woodland Caribou
Well i guess i will have to invest in the rubber boots! Are they easy to walk in? some gum rubbers are very hard to walk in. My hunting closet is growing.
thanks. |
RE: Newfoundland Woodland Caribou
We drove straight through from near Pitts burgh PA. It took us about 36 hours including the 6 hour ferry ride. It took 24 hours to North Sydney to catch the ferry.
Yes, get rubber boots. The LaCrosse Alpha Burleys are very light andcomfortable. They feel almost like wearing slippers. The only thing I did not like was, they seemed to be slippery when walking on wet logs or rocks. Spend some time walking to get in shape before your hunt. Walking there is different than here. You sink in the ground with every step requiring you to lift your legs higher to take the next step. Then there is that black spruce. It has twisty narly roots and limbs that you constantly have to watch for so you don't trip. You will have a great time I'll try to put some photos of the terrain on for you to see. |
