You must be looking at the Tyrol. I haven't handled that model. Italian leather? A fashionable optic for the discriminating gentleman. I'd choose something with armor if it were my money and they're going to be used for hunting.

Sheridan, I think Burris and Nikon are respectable brands with some good optics. My personal experience with Burris is limited and I don't sell their scopes. I don't have any Nikon in stock now, but I do expect some in the next few weeks.

I'd be willing to do a writeup comparing Nikon and Minox if you're interested. Or if my opinion is suspect, I'd gladly assist somebody in doing a comparison.

Yeah the leather does concern me and I will be hiking with them, but $425 for new Swarovskis is hard to pass up.

I bought a pr of Swaro 10X pockets for pennies on the dollar 2 years ago. LOVE them.

Truth any of the Alpha glass is not cheap , but great glass.
