I did not extend the eye cups! i was at cabellas and never really paid attention too the ajustment! I had too hold them about a 1/2 inch off of eyepiece for clarity!

Vortex Talon HD 10x42.

Check cameralandny.com in the demo/samples..they had a pair there for $330.

You cannot beat a Vortex warranty and for your price range you will be very happy with them.
