I have my savage .308 rifle and it has an old simmons scope on it and i want to replace it with a new one i have a 300 doller budget i was thinking leupold vx-1 line but i dont know i hunt in florida the longest shot i need to take is at most 200 yards but i also hunt south georgia and i hunt coyotes out to 600 yards. any suggestions?

I know you're a bowhunter, but a coyote on 9X (full power) at 600 yards will look like a pea in the scope.

A lot of predator rigs have 24X scopes, better for varmint shooting also.

The Bushnell 4200 Elites are on sale, being discontinued. You should be able to pick up one for about $200. Best deal on a great scope you will find anywhere. Comparable to a scope twice the price.

Dunno if they have what you're looking for but Sportsmans Guide are having an optics sale right now. Might be some deals.
