Hi everyone, this christmas I will be getting a remington 700 3006 and I need a scope for it.
Ive seen refurbished scoped im magizines for pretty cheap but what do you all think about those.
Does anybody have any expirience with bushnell banners. I held one at bass pro yesturday and I liked it a lot.

The refurbished scopes should be OK, but the warranty is usually only for a short period of time. I have seen some really nice used (not refurbished) scopes for sale, and I would not be a bit afraid to buy one if it was a better quality scope that was only a couple of years old.
A lot of guys use the Banner scopes. Most are happy with them, but it is not unusual to hear of one that had problems if they were put onto a rifle with substantial recoil.

You can't go wrong with the Nikon Buckmaster or the Bushnell E3200.
Of course as others have said if you can wait and save another $150 then you can get a much better scope.
I could get you into a Nikon Buckmaster 3-9X40 with BDC for around $180. In my opinion your best bang for your buck. I have also seen some of the Nikon Monarchs in 3-9x40 for around 200-225 but they are getting rare.
