Default Gettin set up NEED Help!!!

I am getting back to hunting after 12+ years. I bought a M77 SA RUM. I just ordered a scope from Cabellas and I think I made a mistake. I ordered a VX-1 3x9. Should I return it for a VX-2 or 3. I just dont want to have the WalMart version. Is this a good scope. Thanks for any input.

haha what? I agree you don't want the walmart version...

I'd strongly suggest returning the scope, and going to/calling up theopticzone.com and buying a zeiss conquest. If you do decide to get another leupold I personally wouldn't go less than a vx-3, vx-iii. My view is you'll never regret spending more money on a scope...my zeiss conquest is nicer than my leuopolds IMO, and my swaro is nicer than my zeiss, but more money is more money, though the zeiss and leupolds are fairly close.

which SA UM did you buy? 7mm SAUM?

best of luck!

I did return the vx1. I wne with the vx-1. We'll see how that works out. As for the rifle, it is in a 7mm. Thanks for the info.

VXI's are o.k., VXII's are better, VX3's better yet. I still often recommend others such as Sightron Big Sky, Vortex Viper and Zeiss Conquests. Good luck to you.

I have a Zeiss conquest and a Zeiss Diavari. i can hardley tell a difference between a 500.00 scope and a 2,500.00 scope......but there IS a slight difference. The VX iii is a nice scope, i just think for the money, you cant go wrong with a Conquest.
