I don't believe you have a choice. If you go with a high magnification scope I don't believe it is possible to focus at something at a 100 yards and also be in focus at say 800 yards. You will aslo need to consider paralax or however the heck you spell it. Without being able to use your OAyou'll have no way to adjust it and that will for sure change POI. The scopes with the side focus are great. If money isn't of great concern spend the extra cash and get a scope with side focus. You wont regret it.
