Default mount and ring decision

I need to change my mount and rings on my rifle. I have a savage 30-06, model 111 with AccuTrigger, no clip just magazine.
Should I go with a 1 piece or 2 pieces mount? I am afraid the 1 piece mount will make it difficult to load the ammos into the magazine.
Any recommendations brand and type.
Thanks

It sounds like you have already made your decision to use a 2 piece base, but I would go with a dual dovetail base. I prefer Leupold bases and rings.

Not really. From an engineering point of view it seems a 1 piece mount will be better, but I have seen the B-SQuare https://www.swfa.com/pc-7905-639-b-square-interlock-one-piece-base.aspx one and I am afraid it will make it hard to go to the magazine.

I have never owned a Savage and is probably one of the few guns that I haven't even handled, so I am ingnorant when it comes to your exact gun. I have owned several Remingtons and have always used 2 piece Leupold bases on them. The only guns that I have used one piece bases on is my Encores, Contenders, and scoped handguns.

and which style would you recommend? Weaver or the Leupold standard.
Thanks again for the help.

I had a Savage model 16 chambered in .270 wsm with a standard Leupold one piece base and Leupold low rings. I did not have any problems loading the magazine.

I have used 2 piece on my bolts for years with no issues.

I prefer Leupold Double Dovetails(vs the STD)or Warne Maxima's(vs weavers).

As I said before, I prefer the Leupold dual dovetail bases and rings.

Not even close, Leupold dual dovetail.

I do not know which one will fit my rifle. The Leupold website does not list the Savage for the dual dovetail. Standard are OK.
