broken scope??

I was sighting my marlin 30-30 in the other day and i noticed that every time i would fire the crosshairs in the scope would tilt more and more to the left.so now when you look throught the scope the crosshairs are slanted and the scope is sitting stright in the mounts and the mounts are tight.so my question is can a scope break??

Oh, yeah, they can break, all right. And if it's an older, cheapie scope (like a Tasco Pronghorn 4x32, an inordinate number of which have ended up on 30-30s), it's not only possible but practically inevitable.
Have you tried adjusting the reticle at all?

Well if that little piece of glass in there moves then i would seem that the crosshairs would move. But i have never heard of that happining though. Good luck in fixing thatproblem
