Default RE: going over a few years scores

No, not so. As the rules apply to Hunter class'; ( HC, FHC, HF ) " If a shooter wins, while competing in the _____ class, any 2 events in the Shooter of the Year Program or wins a National Championship or World Championship title, that shooter must advance to a more competitive level the following IBO shoot calendar year. Once this shooter advances to the higher competitive level, he/she must remain at that level for an entire IBO shoot calendar year.

Keep in mind, that this is the current wording of the rule. In years past, the wording has been slightly different to determine who must advance.

Now, that only applies to mandatory advancement. If an individual chooses to advance to a higher level, there are no restrictions at this time to prevent them from moving back. The only exception to this statement, is in the instance of advancing to Semi-Pro or Pro classes. Those shooters who register in a semi-pro or pro class may not return to an amature class for the balance of that shoot year. They may, however, return to amature standing the following shoot year if they so choose.

I hope that this helps clear it up for you. It does make a differance what class we are talking about, but in no instance is it ever really permanant.
