How is the worlds set up? Do you shoot 30 on one day and then 30 the next with the top 5 from those 2 days going into the finals? What do you do when you get there? Is there more to do then just shoot for those 2 days?
sorry for all the questions, this will be my first year going down.
thanks!!!!!!

Default RE: not knowing

As long as her 13th birthday falls after the close of the 2004 Worlds (hers obviously does) she can compete as a cub for this last year. As far as shooting together, that does not work at the Worlds, sorry. For the Worlds competition you will be matched up with your peers to shoot. It is really too big and complex of an event to do otherwise. She can be accompanied by an adult if that can be worked out as long as she is not assisted by one. I understand your concern, but mixing classes at this event just does not work. Finally 40# draw weight is the max for cub class. It does not matter what weight the bow is capable of as long as it is not used over 40#. Be careful!!! Cubs have equipment checked at the worlds same as anyone else, and it sucks to have to DQ a kid for equipment infractions.

I hope this helps and I hope you both have a great time on the mountain.

Aim11,the worlds is setup so you shoot 20 targets each day. If you shoot in the money class you have to qualify at an IBO qualifier. If you shoot in the trophy class you dont have to qualify. I read in your other post that you were asking about shooting with your daughter. You wont be able to shoot with her but if you send your entry forms in early and write them a letter explaining your situation they will try to give you shoot times so you can shoot your course and also be with your daughter while she shoots. I always send mine in early and tell them I need a shoot time on the 2nd day that dosent keep me from going to the future bowhunters shoot with my daughters. They have always tried to work this out for me but I know its not always possible. Their are lots of things to do up their you can swim and fish their is and adventure park with rock climbing put put golf their is also horse back riding you can go to the Cass Railroad and ride a train and go to Smoke Hole Caverns or Senaca Rocks and take a tour of the caves. You can also just hang out on top of the mountain and look at the venders they also show outdoor movies every night in the village by the hotels. My kids like to just keep riding the ski lift over and over. What class do you plan to shoot? Do you shoot the national triple crown? Where are you traveling from? The worlds is a great shoot I have taken my family the last two years and we have a good time. The weather has been kind of messed up the last couple of years but thiers nothing anybody can do about that. Good luck.
