Default new to this forum ...Hello

Hello everyone my name is Tony and i live in Iowa . i just found this forum because of my interest in shooting IBO shoots this summer. i just got into 3-D last year and i shot a lot of local tournys and 1 ASA but i see that the IBO has a few shoots here and near Iowa so i want to get to them.

i have been a NFAA indoor target shooter for 4 years and just last year i started to shoot some 3-D . i just loved it the idea of taking my skills to the unknown ranges of the 3-D shoots is a lot of fun and very challenging.

i started like most of you i was just a Bowhunter looking to improve his skills in the accuracy area . but what i found out is that you can shoot year round in adifferant kinds of archery shooting. i have shot Indoor target local and national events , field archery , fita rounds and now 3-D .they are a blast to shoot and if some of you are looking to improve your shooting try some indoor target . it will definately make you concentrate on shooting form.

i have always shot Bowhunter Freestyle which is short stabilizer and fixed pins for NFAA competitions and 3-D.
so i will probably enter the Hunter Class for my first year . i plan on shooting the Heartland Triple Crown this summer also.i have the rules book i picked up at the ATA show in Indainapolis and there seems to be a ton of shoots for the IBO . i have just a few questions for now.

do you have to be an IBO member to shoot Hunter class ? its no biggie if i have to be .

when i go to IBO shoots is it possible to shoot both rounds in 1 day ?

thanks guys

I am not sure about all of the 3D tournaments that IBO puts on but at the Southern Triple CRown event, you do have to be an IBO member to shoot in it. HUnter class is a good one to get started in. I shot in the first leg of the southern triple crown and the people there were really great. YOu will meet a lot of really great people at the shoots with IBO. Good luck and shoot for the 11 ring....
