Default world dates

Looking forward to 2003, I was wondering if the IBO would go back one weekend for the competition. This year you moved it forward one week. This puts a very rushed weekend on us. I work for a school sytem that starts school the following Monday and our son is suppose to pick up his college schedule the weekend we are at Snowshoe. We would hate to give up the Worlds, haven't missed on since 1993.

Hardly doubt that. Everything is pretty much set in stone. Hundreds of people have cancelled plans for the predetermined weekend and have already reserved thier rooms ahead of time to get the special price offered by Snowshoe Mtn. Resort at the 2001 Worlds. Alot more people would suffer if the date was to be moved. Sorry.

It may not be that simple, they have to schedule the worlds around Snowshoe's schedule (they are also a BIG mountain bike place), as well as coordinate with ASA worlds.

The 24hrs of Snowshoe (Bike Race) is not held at Snowshoe but down the mountain at silver creek. That prob would not have an effect. I gave up Mountain biking for Archery recently and have attended the 24 every year for that last 3 years so the worlds being at Snowshoe is cool I still get to go there.

Grndzer - The World Championship actually takes the whole mountain. There are ranges that start in the Silver Creek area and that is where one of the practice butt ranges have been set up. You will be amazed when you get to worlds this year. From "The Inn" at the bottom of the mountain to "Top Of The World" the place is covered with archers and ranges.
My son was on a range last year when several mountain bikers passed. I certainly would not have wanted to be the one at full draw when all the commotion was going on.
You'll have a blast.
