fasstfletch is conveying my thoughts on this Snowshoe debate better than I can. His comments have mirrored my thoughts. Good job.

The figures that they reported for Friday and Sunday I believe were the same. The total that I counted was 8, the figure for last year was 21 shooters. If the count is wrong I have no way of knowing. I think that most of the information is recorded on a computer so I don' t think that there should be that many errors.

Remember, there are usually some folks that sign up and then due to what ever reason, don' t show up to shoot. There will always be some discrepancies in number due to that fact....

And do the number really matter that much?

I believe that Lady Robinhood counted the zeros. The scores that were reported are supposedly the number of people that shot.

I Think that the original post was one of curosity. It makes no difference to some people how many people there was shooting unless you want to follow the progress of the organization and the World Shoot in particular.

The suggested figure was much higher by some people which an official figure should be the only one that counts and it should be accurate to be credable.

Following the progress of any organization gives it members something to be proud of and should always be accurate.

I think that when you get an event the size of the World Championships it is difficult to really pinpoint the actual numbers of shooters involved. I think that the IBO has done a great job promoting 3D as a sport and in that respect the numbers do matter. Ultimately though, at least in my opinion, as long as the numbers are climbing, I' m not arguing.
