CHANGE TO ASSIGNED GROUPS
After shooting IBO and ASA shoots, it seems to me that ASA has the right idea on grouping shooters on a range and having a shotgun start. Example: At an ASA shoot in FL, a group of friends shot together without an outsider to bust the group. Of the shooters in the ' group' , 3 of them won their respective classes by shooting 20 points higher than any of them EVER has in any of our local shoots. One of the shooters attended one of our easy local shoots and could only come out of there with a 152!
I talked with an IBO staffer about the possibility of going to a assigned group or even a peer group to keep pencil whipping score cards to a minimum. I would love to shoot more IBO shoots, espically the Southern Triple Crowns since they are within 5/6 hours from me but, without some provisions in place to hender improper scorekeeping, I don' t think I' ll be shooting anymore IBO' s.
It' s hard to beat legally someone who is keeping score illegally!
