Just wondered if any of you guys have ever had an archery instructor or coach work with you one on one. I am considering getting some coaching help to get to the next level. My question is , Are they worth the money and time?
A lot of people have told me a coach will help you fine tune your shooting ability.
I just wanted to see what all of you thought about this.
Thanks in advance,
WBS

WBS consider this, Tiger Woods the greatest golfer every to play the game still to this day has a coach he works with daily. Also consider that Jeff Hopkins has a coach. So yes the money is worth it, now the real problem finding a good coach in your area, good luck with that one.

It all depends on what you are willing to do. A single or couple lessons, probably not depending on your current level. Consistent meetings etc, and the willingness to do what the coach wants you to do, even it if means your shooting goes into the toilet for awhile?? Probably.
Hard part is finding one close enough that matches your personality and style with the coaches style and personality.

Apparently you have the same problem where you live that we have. No coaches that I' m aware of in NY. Maybe you should consider doing what we are about to do. Have a local archery shop sponsor a Shooter' s Class with Bernie Pellerite. We talked with Bernie and Jan in detail about having a shooter' s school in our area. I dont know what it is about those people but I just think they are the best! They answered any questions we had and we learned alot about them and what it is they do at the free seminars they held this past weekend. We also purchased his book and the 1st three videos he has, we have watched the first one so far and really enjoyed it. If you dont think you could actually have a shooters school in your area, you should really consider purchasing his book and videos. His website is:www.robinhoodvideos.com My husband and I would strongly suggest it.
