Pulling arrows

I read on another (shall remain anonymous)forum that One Bowtie has a problem pulling arrows from our targets. In a direction of concern for his well being McKenzie Targets is building targets, now, with a foam that we believe will preclude any strain on the OBT.;)
We need to keep shooters with the audacity to wear a uniform like the one I saw in a picture. My goodness that one required shades.[8D]

RE: Pulling arrows

Ken, I' ll have to say the new foam Mckenzie has come out with is very easy to pull arrows from, we just got the new climbing bear target this week for our club and two others out of the new foam, it is great, I hope it last a while.:)

Brian from GA 04-14-2003 07:20 PM

RE: Pulling arrows

The new foam is really nice. The few targets with the new foam in Rome were very easy to pull. I have been waiting to replace the midsections on mine until the new foam came out. I have no more excuses.

Ken, Maybe you can get McKenzie to make a Clown target. I think we have a model.

Oh i see go lurking in on the ASA board to come back and make fun of the guy' s.....OBT own' s a Chevy dealer ship and that uniform was NASCAR one....;) And till you been to a shoot with this guy you dont know what you been missing...:D BTW we bought a brand new Antelope last year and it was so hard we had serval members break arrows just trying to get them out...Looking forward to seeing the new foam on the newer ones

I know OBT.
Would not harass someone that I did not know. He shows up here periodically.
Of course I read other forums. Got to keep up with the gossip.

Is a bar of soap not allowed?

RE: Pulling arrows

...LMAO:D...see OB-JUAN...you have already scared these IBO guys into thinking that " soap" may be suitable to use on the course of those " dirty" ol cement maker McKenzies:eek:...I think it' s better used after you work up a sweat from yankin arrows out of them things...of course we know how dapper one can still look after an entire day of pulling from Rineharts!!!...start the day out " dressed to kill" and end it the same way...hehe...

...I wonder if we will EVER get a McKenzie to put up against a Rinehart for the ULTIMATE CHALLENGE[8D]...I think the easy pull foam may just be a rumor...I don' t know anyone who has seen one of them things yet have you??...ooh...maybe we should take one to the second leg!!!...

...hey BOW-NAMI...if your going to that second leg...let me know when it is...if I' m done planting and spraying...pick me up and we' ll BOTH wear our PRO STAFF outfits while we walk the course...if we shoot...it will take the two of us to pull the arrows anyway:D...I wonder if we can get front row parking there???...

...BOWPRO...when is this deal of yours??...and where is it??...been trying to make one of the " big ones" ...and if I can scout some corn and bean fields in the area...maybe I can just call it " business" ...hehe;)...Thanks>>>---> Don

RE: Pulling arrows

I guess the deer and the last bow tie don' t get around much.
But if the dynamic duo come to Erie they better bring some stronger marks. I suppose that I could talk with ej and get him to set a new kids range.
But I believe that even the twofer two-some should experience 3-D for what it was intended. Real Animals, real conditions, real shooters, real 3-D.

Now a word of advice, since this will be your first time and all. when you' re out on the range and it' s just you and the bow gods; remember, this is IBO and what you think you' re seein, ain' t what you' re seein. Re-group, look again, try again. Send a prayer and let her fly.
When you get there and try scorin it, look hard, maybe you can find what you hit.
You' ll be sayin" The one in the tree, must be me" .
Welcome to the IBO!
ken12;)

RE: Pulling arrows

ok....Ok.....oK...OK......THE YEAR OF THE DUO....................you heard it......now its coming......the duo will reign down on you iboers.......

dondeere......get in that dirt dobber of yours.....get the earth prepared.....cause it sure appears that the midwest is going to be in need of more nurishment than ever.....its time for dondeere to seed and feed the iboers.....they are and have been starved of good archers.....but feere not....the duo is about to arch our way to the top.....

dondeere.....i sense that they are already feeling a bit...." ERIE" .....yep...that erie, erie feeling is only the duo....getting ready to run wild on this cap tooth, cigerette drooping, holey jeans wearing, greasy nail, bowl type haircut, onion breath bunch of iboers:D;).....

you know double d.....you are on to something.....and so is bowpro.....maybe we should have our own range......the real range....the challenge range.....but first things first....lets get these hee man ibo types to agree to pull arrows....we will sit back and watch....as they wear down... after about 3 targets of pulling arrows...we' ll open the can can......oh ya, before we forget....does the ibo provide range girls.....you know.....like the ones provided to us by the asa???? what are we up to now.....3 range girls apiece.....all at our beck and call......i hope the ibo provides us with our standard accomadations.....and before we forget....what about those front row parking spots....does the ibo provide for them and our customary shuttle??????

oh ya dondeere.....lets be sure to keep our bows at our standard 240 fps....wouldnt want to have these flip flop, sandal wearing iboers think we are trying to take advantage of em....let them have their 300 plus fps bows......lets just beat em with our smooth, arching, 11 ring seeking( did i actually say 11 ring) stealthy arrows......(hey don....i dont think you ought to start out with your girly arrows);)

ibo prepare yourselfs......the greatest thing since the invention of the chevy is about to hit your ranges.....and all powered by the deeremax.....DONDEERE....ONEBOWTIE....ONEBOWTIE... .DONDEERE....not just names....but a new way of life....

THE DYNAMIC DUO.....DONT HATE US CAUSE YOU AINT US.........

Scott, I' ve had the great pleasure a few times... Great American' s, great people and great times...

I love the OBT and DD attitudes.... It keeps my spirits high... C-ya' s at the IBO' s this year?

RE: Pulling arrows

Everybody brace yourself. I think we need to have a good old fashioned IBO set for these boys introduction.
OBT and DD, here is your challenge. Your task is to break 380 on the MBR or MBO range and I will have some humble pie made up. I win, you eat.
You win... well that ain' t gonna happen.[:' (]
I got your challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Last Bow Tie ? Green Deere Challenge.

Oh yeah, you gotta wear the suit for supper.

onebowtie 04-16-2003 08:37 AM

RE: Pulling arrows

ah bowpro....get the ranges set....the duo will roll...and i do mean roll into town...if its erie....yall will be the ones left with that erie feeling....not knowing...how the duo rolled into and out of town so easily....took it right to them 11rings...hehe....man does that sound funny......

lets really make this little shindig fun....i bet....and ill take all takers...that i can beat the mighty darrin mccutheon on the ibo range....not the practice range...but the real time range?????? lets see, mr. longshot darrin...can he stand up to the challenge???? or is he just truely a spottie.....got no game for the duo.......

if darrin can beat the bowtie.....the bowtie will acknowledge the ibo as the supreme ranges of all of archery......and if darrin cant....well.....he only has to buy dinner for the bowtie entourage[&:][&:][&:]

and of course the duo will sport their shooting suits at not only the ranges..but at dinner ......

ok....the duo only has one small favor or request to ask of the ibo.....please keep the autograph seekers away until after the duo has completed their rounds...than we ask that you limit things to be signed to 5...as the thousands of requests will take some time...but we will attempt not to miss anyone:D[8D][&:]...and as always which is customary for the duo....women and childrens requests honored first.........[:-]

now i know that the lowprymate lurks over here...cause them spotties just cant peek his curiosity enough....so come on darrin, you got any game in that spottie setup of yours or not???????????

DonDeere 04-16-2003 10:08 AM

RE: Pulling arrows

...BOWPRO...so what your saying is the IBO is hallucination archery...what you see may not be what your seeing???:D:D...lol...I' ll have to get some more arrows by the sounds of it because...the arrows in " all those trees" ...must be ME!![&:]...

...HAWGZ and BOWTECH_SHOOTER...if you guys can shoot this IBO stuff it cant be all that hard!!...hehe...I have a question though...do they make you pull your own arrows??:(...I' m not sure if I can handle that...are the targets all made of that easypull foam or what??...or maybe I should ask if the trees are made of that stuff too!!:D...

...JUAN...you see ol BOWPRO is throwin down on the DUO already[8D]...I don' t know about that " humble pie" he' s talkin bout...but we can bring some good old fashioned AMERICAN PIE to spread around the course...and for sure we' ll drive our CHEVY' S to the levy of ERIE...I mean come on...shoot 380!!...the " 11" ring is in the center...how hard can that be to score 380...miss the " 11" and still get a TEN...this is easier than what were accustomed to...and if we are going to be signing autographs afterwards...then for sure we need " arrow pulling caddies" so we won' t get our arms tired ahead of time;)...

...and I see you calling out McCutch-n-stuff[8D]...does he even shoot 3D...I thought that dude was the ULTIMATE SPOTTIE;)...

...I haven' t checked to see...but when is this little shindig going to take place??...if you find out OBT...send the info to me via e-mail...or if you other guys know the deal...send me a note to [email protected] ...Thanks>>>--->DonDeere:)

Hey, Pullin arrows is easy when you shoot them in the middle( where it is already soft) but for some average shooters like OBT and DD it is tougher when you have to pull arrows from the center of the back half of the target. LOL You guys are walkin into a new way of shootin. Be prepared for hills you could have a heart attach on. I will be waiting for the DUO. Don' t worry Ken I can hande the likes of these two. Is this what one should expect to see and hear at a ASA shoot? What' s wrong guys are you afraid that Mckenzie might have something better than a Rhinefart target?? Surely not?? Just try one with Super Flex foam then let' s hear your complaints.

Hawgz, I shot Oakridge last year in the unlimited class. If it was on the same range it was real close to the sky. LOL

Hood, You just get ready I have a sharpie for you to use and you bring the dollors. You are walkin into my area of shooting. I will bet you 5 to 1 on any 3d range. I am praticed and fired up for the year.

Bowpro, They are not scared of any girl, in fact they aer not scared of anyone. It is just that they can' t hang with the likes of the IBO 3Ders. We are a tough bread that thay haven' t had to face yet. The time is comming and very soon.

Call me out???? I' ll be your huckleberry. Me an bowproette will be happy to enjoy a meal on the waterfront at your expense. I pick the restaurant. I am after all a ERIE guy ;) I may even get a few of them range girls you want but can' t handle. Foxy or Toxy would be a good choice.

So to make sure we are on the same page now, it' s me and bowproette against the dumanic duo??????? At Erie PA on a IBO range during the second leg of the triple crown? Sorry folks sometimes you just have to highlight the obvious. OBT is a car salesman after all. Just let me know for sure. DCM

Well Mr. Bowtie, Sounds to me like you can shoot the fire out of that bow. I' d like to go up against a pro like yourself just to see if I could beat you. But we' d have to shoot between 50 and 80 yards, cause between 20 and 50 yards I' m afraid I' d be splitting your arrows, and I don' t think you' d like that to much. Regards, kotklegg[8D]
