Default Why is that?

I just recieved a comment concerning why do we not delete detrimental posts on this forum. The person was upset that we do not.
We believe that if you listen to all the comments, good and bad that maybe it is possible to make the program better.
Each member of the IBO has the right and obligation to participate in the process.
I do freely admit it gets a little hard to listen at times but that is what has to be done.
As long as it is kept within some reasonable limits and not directed to or at an individual we will continue to encourage and participate in a free exchange..
I have mentioned before that almost all of the board read these exchanges and also appreciate the input. I doubt most of them will ever be dragged into some of it, but they do read them.
Your organization, your forum.

I, for one, highly respect IBO for this stance... as it is one of my own positions. Censorship is a two-edged sword. The moderators are probably nodding at that last sentence.
As an ex-owner/administrator of a huge email discussion distribution list (sold it) for about 6 years, and a moderator of several forums like this one... I can attest that when a post is removed because it is considered inflamatory or indignant to the host of the forum (IBO in this case).... all hell breaks loose. Let the thread run it' s course, and move on. More likely than not the other subscribers/members will quench the person on & off the forum. The truth will prevail. The topic I think that is being referred to came out to show in favor of why most people are IBO members... and wasn' t originally written to degrade IBO. The question could have been written better, yes. I think most people responding were mature enough to see the post for what it was. If a person posting to the forum is out for blood via slander & libel postings... ip ban, akick (chat), etc is in order. Everyone is entitled to their opinion albeit good, bad or indifferent. I just tell myself one thing when I read a post I don' t agree with... " rectums & opinions... everyone has one, and they both stink."

i see no need to delete a post that is in good taste. it may not be what folks agree with or want to hear, but it is thier opinion, and they can place it on the boards if they want.
the ones that should be deleted are the ones that serve no purpose, or that attack the other fine folks on the boards (you can include yourself in there ken)lol
if i do not agree with a post i have two options, reply or not reply. simple. if it becomes confrontational, no problem, ill just back away, but i will have said my peace..............
i know a lot of people read this board but may not post, and that is fine. it is a great tool for education and a quick method of exchanging information.
i think the board is run just fine, and a good job is done by all.....
