RE: MBO Class
For goodness sake. How can a shooter claim to be the best there is if they shoot just the easiest ranges? What fun is that?;)

RE: MBO Class
ASA Open C class is still a big class....And still full of sandbaggers...IBO classes are just fine the way they are now...ProHunter Class????..Isnt that just MBR...HunterClass is just that Hunter setup...When I shoot IBO I could shoot Hunter but I like the back stake more challenge..Need to back it up a tad more....The one thing I like about IBO classes they are easy to figure where you belong...I can remember when MBR was considered what we hunters shoot in..;)

RE: MBO Class
I would ask again;should MBR reflect the same equipment as hc. But at the longer distance?

RE: MBO Class
Ken,
My comments are strickly my comments based on years of expierence. Look at the numbers f people shooting in each class and then look at the number of opinions for and against. I think that the number that would have changes in either class are a small number and it should be easy to count or estimeate a number from the posts against the status quo. The number of people registering in each of the two classes seems to indicate whether or not the class is OK. If there would be any changes as you questioned, I would suggest that you change the distance for MBR to 40 yards Maximum and see what happens as far as the number of entries. I don' t think that in a competitive sport you will be able to come up with a system or class that will staisfy everyone. This is still a sport like any other that your decisions are an effort to satisify the majority. GOOD LUCK |
RE: MBO Class
Ken, if you are asking for opinions on MBR changes, I would move it back to 50 max. Moving it in would make it the same as HC, 5 yards is not enough to make a difference, personally I would vote to back it up wiht MBO. HC setup is legal in MBR. Keep it that way. MBR is NOT legal in HC but there are VERY few differences, primarily arrows (fletch/screw in tips) and stabilizer. I say leave it as is, if you want to change anything, move MBR backwards. The folks who " should" be moving out of HC can easily handle the distance anyway, an almost perfect HC score would still be a VERY high MBR score. --Bob |
