I have seen .19 and .29 options for the size of the pins on sights. Does any one have ideas on what situations you would use what sizes?
I would guess that part of the decision would depend on accuaracy expectations, shooting distance, and personal preference.

From my experience, the .019 isn' t as bright at the .029 in low light conditions. With the .019 you have a little finer aiming, but you have more percieved pin movement or foating.

I have the Silver Extreme Snipe.....My bow is shooting 318 fps I don' t have a problem with pin gap. I' m using the .019 pins....the are a little hard to see indoors without a light....I put a blue light on and now they are ok for indoors. Outdoors they work great...I don' t need to use the light. Get it with the .029 pins if you dont want a light.
Other then the pin size the sight is great....I highly recommend the Extreme Sniper.

Hey Curtis, I saw your name on the list at our club last Saturday. How did you like the Clinton County Farmers and Sportsmen' s association' s 3D shoot? I hope you come back the first weekend in April for the world qualifier at CCFSA. Did you have any feedback? We could use all the help we can get, last year was our first and we are experiencing some growing pains. Later.

I prefer the .019 pins. I like to see more of the target. For 3D, a .029 or.019 pin is fine for me. .029 pins are brighter, as others have already said. I think it comes down to personal preference.

I appreciate all the feedback. Several things were mentioned that I hadn' t considered.
Ohio_Curtis - Thanks for the input on the Extreme Sniper. I plan on purchasing one later this month or next month.

Hello Ohio_3der,
I shot at your club last year......You guys are doing a fine job for just starting. I have some ideas for your club.....maybe we can get together and talk about them. I will be there for your world qualifier.
I seen a couple of shooter taking long shots at the elk from across the pond, about 80 yards.....It was real tempting for me to do the same.......But I decided not to because of the safty factor. Maybe we can set up a safe long shot for shooters to have fun with.....and maybe make some extra money for your club or IBO bowhunter defence to boot!
See ya next shoot......Curtis
