I think we have been shafted folks just my rambling thoughts ..

I hope that they considered the hotels are going to be very hard considering Anderson is app. only 40 miles from Indianapolis, where the Brickyard 400 is (THAT SAME WEEKEND). Hotels are going to be a pain to find. Hopefully they got some hotels nearby that is not sold out...good luck. We are going, mainly to see how it is going to be.

Can someone who knows please explain the reason Anderson was selected?

What does it have to offer that will make it even comparable to Snowshoe or was it simply a bottom line $$ decision?
Was it a decision made in an attempt to benefit the shooters/members as a whole or the IBO?

Also what other locations were in the running?[/align]

Family 5. Sorry to hear that you will not be attending the Worlds. A suggestion would be that you get more family members involved in shooting and than it may be a vacation for everyone and not just you. The IBO has classes for all ages and skill levels. If you check the results you will find that there are many families involved and they enjoy archery throughout the year and schedule their vacations for the whole family to enjoy at just such events. Good luck and hope to see you there.

I have been away from here for awhile. But this seems to be a good reason to come back. From what I just took in from the person I talked too, the reasoning behind not finding any rooms is that most of the people were smart enough to reserve their rooms an extra week for the rain delays that lay possible at every race. Their 250,000 compared to the IBO's little few thousand shooters that will show up, over rules. So again here we have some terrible planning and a place that is unable to support the full on slot of the week.[:'(]
