Are you familiar with the time and peperwork plus the contacts and other procedures that are linvolved to move a shoot or to set one up for an organization as large as the IBO. As an engineer you must be aware of some of the things that have to be completed to organize a shoot like this. Are you basing your negativity on your expierence with such a large shoot as this or are you just venting your disappointment based on your personal feelings. That is not very scientific but we only have about 10 months to get ready for this and the fact that the area is sold out of rooms as you say means that they must have something to offer other than shooting.

Thanks for your help, I do have my two sons 13 and 20 shooting with me as well as my nephew 28 and 29,32,14 andbrother in law 56 and 58 and two family friends 28 and 29. We all shoot together and planned on the Worlds in 2007. My concern is my wife and their wives who do not shoot and have no desire to shoot but attend to be with the family.
Myconcern is, what motel,hotel facilities are available and what can the wives doand where can we all meet when not shooting, how long does it take to drive to the start each time we shoot. I really liked Snowshoe for the convience of all those things plus many others. Anderson is 2 hours closer for me but I think a lot more complicated, frustrating and expensive. I quess time will tell.

WHuffman,do you know of campgrounds close by in the area? Sounds like that might have to be the way to go at the rate things have gone with room reservations.Thanks for any info.

There will be plenty of camping if that is route you would like to go. Anderson University has opened their campgrounds for us as well as several other campgrounds close by.
