RE: MONEY HUNTER CLASS-SNOWSHOE

Maybe the M in MHC should be a C for championship instead of M for money, because that it what it used to be before this year.

The post that Judy madeis still there for anyone to read and I'm sure that if you are able to comprehend english it will leave no dobt in your mind as to what the "M" means. If this is not the answer that you are looking for then there is no answer that will make anyone happy other than the answer you want to hear. The results are in and the awards are made so if there was a failure anywhere it was the fact that someone has not been keeping active with the communications part of the organization and now wants to put the blame on the wrong people.

I think that if you read bluejackets reply that lists all the classed for this year, you will not find "MHC" listed as a class. That was last year. This year it is "AHC". IfMHC was on your scorecard at Snowshoe, then you entered into the regular Hunter Class.

RE: MONEY HUNTER CLASS-SNOWSHOE

No as a matter of fact I called to make sure that I was in the Money hunter class and not the regular hunter class the day I received my score cards, because I saw MHC and was not clear on which class that was, and I was infoemed this was a change of names and it was the MONEY HUNTER CLASS! I guesse someone there told me wrong. I speak perfect english and I can comprehend, I feel that there was an injust change made with little communication made to the members of the IBO. All I am trying to say is this exact same class won money in previous years. Other people on this forum have also stated that, so I can't be the only one confused. Once again fastfletch I apologize I did not mean to direct the first comment at you I miss read the statement.

RE: MONEY HUNTER CLASS-SNOWSHOE

F. AWARDS, PURSES, AND ENTRY FEES
[ul]1. In order for any class to be awarded a 1st place, there must be three or more archers participating in that class.

2. The number of awards given in amateur classes will be based on 10% of the total amount of participants in that class at that event in the preceding year, with a maximum of 10 plaques or 20 checks.

[ul]a. In order for a class to have a team competition in the IBO National Championship Triple Crown, there must be three teams registered to shoot at the first leg of the Triple Crown. In order to win, a team must shoot all three legs of the Triple Crown.
b. IBO World Championship. Each team member must have qualified individually for the IBO World Championship in order to compete as a team member.[/ul]
3. Team members may not change throughout the duration of any IBO competition.

4. A team may be three or four members. Only the top three scores will count toward a team’s total score.

5. Team awards will be given at the conclusion of the IBO Triple Crown and at the conclusion of the IBO World Championship.[/ul]
[ul]This was just copied and pasted from the IBO website. I don't see anywhere in there where the HC was excluded from any prize money. Also, for those that think the IBO is so organized and keeps their members informed, why did I receive a rule book with my membership renewal postmarked 7/5/06 that has the Money Hunter class (MHC) still listed on page six? Is it any wonder that people are confused???? If the IBO was going to change the HC to no payout it should have been on the Qualifier entry form thatit's$68.90 to enter but don't expect anything if you win or place. [/ul]

RE: MONEY HUNTER CLASS-SNOWSHOE

I won FHC last year and received $500. I was shocked to hear that IBO had not paid the hunter classes this year. I was at the award ceremony and it was horrible to see the 2nd and 3rd place shooters standing there without anything! It was not clearly written anywhere that the hunter class shooters would not receive any money. IBO hasn't paid money in any hunter class, with the exception of the AHC, except at the world shoot. Why would anyone have paid $68 to shoot in the "money class" if you weren't going to receive any money. At least in the trophy class the top 3 shooters would have received trophies, at least something to show. Of those of you who think it's no big deal, I'm sure you would care a little more if you were in their shoes! 1st place at least did get a buckle and a trophy. Can you imagine if you finished 2nd or 3rd in the IBO World championship and everyone ask you what you won, and you say "nothing"? Not only is it an embarassment to the shooter but also to the IBO. I support the IBO and have shot 7 of their shoots this year including the worlds but I think they messed up big on this one.

RE: MONEY HUNTER CLASS-SNOWSHOE

The HC top finishers received money at the Indoor world, even 5th place paid well over $100. So, why wouldn't the shooters in HC at the "WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP" expect to get something?? Shooters can go to local shoots and pay $8-12 and receive a pretty nice trophy or plaque if they place in the top 3. I'm not sure of the total entrants for HC at Snowshoe, but with just a guess of 300 @ $68.90 that's $20,670.00 and there is no awards for second and third????

Ok, ken or Judy........... What is your answer for this situation? Don't bet on hearing from them, they'll read it and depend on their loyal followers to blow smoke. Some st rep from BFE. ken and Judy read this stuff but havent answered, explained ormade an attempt here to fix things. I will drop my membership so fast if this money stuff aint resolved for both this Hunter class shooter and the Shooter/Team shooter of the year.

RE: MONEY HUNTER CLASS-SNOWSHOE

Advanced Hunter Class (AHC) formally (MHC) Money Hunter Class

HC is not a payback class. payback in the HC class stopped when the MHC / AHC was started. HC is not part of the SHOOTER OF THE YEAR program.

RE: MONEY HUNTER CLASS-SNOWSHOE

I was involved in the no money pay out for third place in a "hunter" class event. When I questioned a board member of IBO, I was asked to send a letter to them voicing my opinion, and a solution if I had one. I suggest we all send a letter in before their Board Meeting 8/25. Also Money Hunter was flat out changed to Advanced Hunter. If you look on the web page you will see all other Hunter Moneys are paid out RANDOMLY?????????????????? HC, SHC, FHC, Need to be a Championship/Money class! this the simplest solution.
