RE: MONEY HUNTER CLASS-SNOWSHOE

Just remember that the money you paid for "Worlds" was not made out to the IBO but to Snowshoe Mountain.............. not defending IBO nor am I bashing them, but some here need to know that the IBO does not receive the full amount from the entry fees for each shooter only a portion just like qualifers........$25 to shoot in qual. but IBO only gets $5 from each shooter

I would like to add my 2 cents to this discussion.I have a rule book that was given to me when I renewed my membership @ the Indoor Worlds this spring. This rule book was dated December 21 2005. This book does not outline the rules which are now being discussed and argued. I would like to know how the IBO can change the rules in the middle of a shoot year? The rule book I have does not outline any of the levels of shooters or monetary rewardsat the IBO discretion. This rule book outlines the following:
Amateur Payback
Payout is 20% of the field limited to 20 places. Only first, second and third place checks will be awarded at shoots except at the world. All other checks will be mailed.
I feel it is unfair for the IBO to make changes at their discretion during a shoot year. Do we have to continuously monitor rule changes throughout the year? I feelI was given the short end of the stick. I shot my best, made the cutfor Saturday, and placed within the top 10. I would like to say how upset I am forthe guys that made it to the podium! I just want to say Good Shooting!!!!!!! I think the IBO needs to get their hands dirty and undo the wrong they have given to all the Hunter Classes.

RE: MONEY HUNTER CLASS-SNOWSHOE

I really enjoy shooting 3-D so i will shoot the ibo shoots mainly because of where they are held is close to home so money or not i'll be there along with alot of others i am sure. Why does the ibo only get 5 dollars per peoson? Who came up with those numbers when they were working out a amount that was fair for the ibo. I am in the wrong business of work i should be holding ibo shoots on my farm. I am not saying the ibo should be like the asa but i really like the way they are set up in the payouts and the way they keep the classes fair with their move up rules. I really don't understand why the ibo can't adopt some of the asa's style of shoot. It's not like they are in the same part of the country holding a shoot on the same day. people like myself in the north are going to go to the ibo shoots because they are close to home so why not fix the problems with the money and the classes so we can write about how great things are not how no one knows where their money has went. if the ibo can't get the people holding the shoots to give more money to the ibo then move the shoot site to a place that will and take care of the shooters the put up the money to get to these shoots.

Matt,
I changed my son from the CUB class to the CUB Trophy class and we had to have an IBO official to at the registration area to OK the change. They allowed it and refunded the money difference for the entry fees.
When I asked the IBO official if I could change from MHC to HC, he said "You can't do that because there is payout money involved." What would that statement mean to you?

Like someone said ealier....I thinkIBO ishoping this will blow over and we'll all forget about it!!

Just think of the families who dont have alot of money and were really excited for a minute or so knowing their spouse won, and thought it would help pay for the trip!
