Jetters

Why is it at the big shoots, I get rattled so bad? I have been shooting for years and am a good shot and should be near the top every year. Just not sure why this is.[&:]

I think it's called the 'Back Yard Champion' syndrome. :-)

Check out some mental management stuff, like Troy and Lanny Basham on http://www.mentalmanagement.com/mmindex.htm

Start with What every Archer should know first about the mental game

I've listened to this cd many times and plan to buy the next one. Several of the pro shooters (I know) use these. Check them out.

You're not alone. What issues you have are very common.

va archer has good info.....just relax, and treat a big shoot as a club shoot....i know it gets a little nerve racking at times, i have been shooting in the ibo since 94, and am past the jitters at this point....but in the beginning, like flat woods, a straight jacket was in order for a while....
