I know that 99% is defined.
I know Ken that only you andfew other personcan help us to have a future better 3DI.
Now you can uderstand my other message, but you must remember that 3DI is under FITA and not under a Hunting Organization.

3dchamp,
We sent a questionaire to the shooters that could participate in the team last fall for their input.
We got I think 5 replies.
The last selections were based upon the shooter of the year program. Top two were chosen. Since we have gotten so little reponse, I would imagine the board of directors will follow the same format. That is my opinion and I do not know what they will do.
The IBO SOY program is any combination of five scores from the three shoots in the Southern Triple Crown,Winternationals,Indoor World Championship and the NAtional Championship Triple Crown. You have eight shoots to pick from to get your five scores.
The classes are
Longbow
Recurve Un-Aided
Compound
Adult classes only.

I would think it possible they MAY include a couple of the earlier shoots next spring as well in the selection process. Selecting a team 9 or 10 months in advance is a stretch.
Again, this is all speculation on my part.

I missed the last 3di by one shooter and did not recive a questioner about the 3di . I think the 3 shoots of the nouthern triple crown our the way to go. It just now needs to be in stone now ,then we would all know from year to year and also I think you would get more shooters to attend the triple crown

3dchamp,
Your opinion that the 3di team selection should be based on the 3 northern triple crown shoots, does not seem to take into account that not all IBO members live in Northern states.
I respect that you are entitled to your opinion, but there are nine national shoots. Your statement that the idea you propose would increase the level of participation at the Northern Triple Crown could just as easily be said about the Southern Triple Crown. I live in the South (Texas), and if I were to adopt a selfish stance, it would be my suggestion that only the three Southern Triple Crown shoots be used for 3di selection. Of course that sort of self serving attitude would meet with the same objections from those who live in Northern states.
I would hope that you can see the point that I am trying to make. I believe that if consideration is given to all IBO members, then it would be evident that the shooter of the Year approach is more equitable.
