Well that was an enjoyable evening........took off the STS and had to fight the thunderstorms and rain at my club to see if everything was still the same with regards to tune and POI......well POI WAS off a bit. After shooting at every distance out to 50 yards everything was hitting a little left.....wound up almost 1" at 40 yards, about 1/2-3/4" at 30 and about 1/2" at 23. Enough to not be just right, enough to cost me some points, and enough of a pain in the butt in the heat humidity and rain to figure out.
So I guess now it's back to shooting straight, albeit a whole lot twangier.....

I sincerely hope I don't see one of these things being shot in the Hunter Class this weekend in Erie.

I also pretty much avoid archery talk lately. Many folks are referring to AT as the archery terrorists network. It
Hey Ken, Daniel Boone from archerytalk. Just joined the IBO after many years and helped promote the IBO state shoot on AT regional shoots board. When you get my membership, just tear it up. Better yet send it to a needed member that will use it. AT has always allowed member to exspress there feelings. Glad some of your members here showed this to me. You have lots of IBO members that are archerytalk members.

hey dboone, thank you for paying my membership for the next year. ken, judy, its in type.....sign me up......

dboone, before you start feeling sideways toward ken, he merely stated what others have stated. look at it this way, you always say archers helping archers, right? what have you done for the sport of archery.....how about you lay your resume out next to kens and lets all take a look at them both, and see who has done more for archery.

i will agree to one point, that archery talk has become a little more volatile lately, and your post just proves that. dont get your feelings hurt, fix the problem....get involved. talk nice and i will pay your membership for next year, you know return the favor, hook a brotha up..........

I have not been on here for a while but reading thru here things seem to be getting a little personel keep to the subject of the thread. on that note the sts is not legal in the Hunter classes under current rule, no one should be trying to anticipate what the board will do because that will not happen until after the world shoot. I was not involved in any of these conversations but I want to stress that if this is used in the HC classes it will be DQ if protested I can tell you that for sure because it is my decision until the board does take that vote.

ej,
So you are saying that it's up to US to police this ruling? SomethingOFFICIAL needs to be posted at registration about this particular piece of equipment as it has become quite popular and is unknowingly being used at IBO sanctioned events ....due in part to the earlier announcement that it WAS legal.

So WE have to be the "Bad guys" and protest a fellow competitor who is unkowingly shooting illegal equipment? Don't put that on us........I had to remove mine as per the rules because I was made aware of it , but I'm not about to ruin a fellow shooter's weekend who is "cheating" by definition because he doesn't have a clue.
I would rather lose to someone who shot it and did not know it was illegal, than protest it's use.
Didit bother me that after all this I shot with a guy in my group on Saturday who had one on his bow? Sure did........was I going to report it? Absolutely not because it's not his fault.

Ken is a spokesman for a very large assc. One I just joined and would certainly support and did by asking many in my state to come support. The few that were there were friends of mine. Im a moderator at archerytalk and deal with many members eveyday with promblems one way or another. AT is a large archery forum, we must be doing some good. because I get PM's all the time. Ken was to spend anytime at AT he would realize the good it does for many archers, not just IBO. I have traveled to all ASA events in my state and do a good job supporting them also. Deermans also.
I like archery and really will shoot it all. But when someone of Kens position takes a stand against a good archery forum like AT, I take offense. One thing Ken will agree is you cant please eveyone and AT has plenty of members.

I did a search on IBO at AT. Threads were far more good than Bad. I would say Ken might realize that AT promotes his assc also.

dboone, dont take offense, like i said, ill pay your membership next year. you of all people know how AT gets at times, and i cant speak for ken, but i visit almost daily, read and rarely post. the reason for that is the mood over at AT seems a little touchy at times. there always seems to be conflict going on, in one form or another. asa better than ibo, my bow better than yours, it rained on my sight and its the organizations fault....etc you have a difficult job at AT at best. probably feel like a referee most of the time. ken is in the same position. jousting seems to be the norm anymore, on all forums not just AT. i support ken, and the ibo, but do not bash other venues. if i ruffled your feathers sorry about it.....i just think ken made a general statement, got into the water, bled a little, and got attacked by the sharks....eaten alive for having an opinion.....ken is not a bad person at all, much like yourself a busy man with a full plate..
