I got mine all planted. I put in about 48 tomato plants, 36 different peppers, squash, cucumbers, beans, potatoes, onions, watermelon, cantaloupe, pumpkins, greens, etc... I told the neighbors if nothing else I will not go hungry. We are planning on setting up a stand in front of the house to sell the extras we don't eat or can.

Last year in the garden thread, a few of us had a discussion about old Gravelys, tillers ect. Well i didn't get a gravely but i got a couple old (late 40's-early 50's) Graham-Paige rototillers, with lots of spare parts from craigslist. I almost bought a new Cub Cadet tiller but opted for the old beefier iron. I got one all serviced & running good before the rain started today. I'll be tilling up the garden tomorrow if things go good

I do the same here i plant Memorial day weekend and normally till it with a 3 point tiller behind a tractor the week before, but i'm anxious to try the old tillers out. I alternate and plant only half my garden & put the other half in clover or rye to till up every spring for "green manure"

Mine is already in the ground. Just planted a small one this year. I have heirloom tomatoes, grape tomatoes, eggplant, bell peppers (yellow/red/green) jalapeno peppers, anaheim pepper, summer squash, zucchini squash, southern bush squash, 2 types of beans, carrots, radishes, beets, onions, kale and swiss chard. For herbs I have rosemary, oregano, basil, parsley, mint and catnip.

In TX we have a growing season that runs from Mar to Nov.

Finally got the garden (20x40) tilled. Planted a few herbs and peppers. I might be a bit early but my patience is running thin......I got the itch to plant.

This evening I planted 5 tomato plants in 16 gallon buckets. 2 Celebrity, a Super Sweet 100, a Big Boy, and a Big Beef. With any luck in a couple months I'll be eating eating tomatoes I grew on top of a taco made with a deer I shot.
