I have a farm in Webster County just on the Webster / Braxton County
line. I live in Charlotte, Nc but my heart will always be in those
hills! Went up there Labor day and set out some stand getting ready for October. Getting butterflies just thinking about it..Woooo!

Roane county!?! Well you live pretty close to me. Actually you live real close to me...probaly, if you live in Spencer. But I have seen quite a bunch of nice bucks. The weather is starting to cool off at night, and the bucks are starting to become less visible. But I can still see lots of bucks at night while traveling around my home. Season is looking good.....13days.

Christin,
I hunt in Roane as well. I am stationed in California and all the info you could send me would help me prepare for the season. I have at least 7 Military personel coming in to hunt. We will be flying in Yeager on November 12th. We need the rest after being over Afganistan for a longgg time.
We will be hunting on my family's land on Grace Run Road.
Nobody, I mean Nobody will go that far in those woods, we will for days.

I inheirated a 300 acre farm located at St. George, Tucker County, WV. I talked to my Uncle this past week who borders my farm and he said there was alot of young small rack bucks this year. Of course there are the big ones left over from lastyear too. Am hoping the weather will cooperate next week and put the bucks into rutt. Oh by the way I live at my current residences in Newport News, VA. I'm on active duty in the Navy too. But I still love my hunting in the mountains on my farm.

Wetzal county here, back on the second weekend of archery, my brother and I were driving back the road to camp around 1:00am and man did we see the bucks,or as my brother put it Bucks Galore. 4 of them will make P&Y and one was pushing B&C, now if one of them would just walk by my stand.
