Lost Horn, I'm from columbia so we probably hunt the same areas. You probably think the same thing. Do you really think they can get the deer to 5 dpsm? I mean it sounds crazy to me and this picture is further proof of the fact that the area is more than capable of sustaining the current herd.

By the way, that's a nice buck. Where did he take it to get mounted. I actually go to e-town to Bob Witmer, he does great work on deer.
No they will never get it to 5 dpsm too much posted land and most of the people that own it will laugh at you if you ask to hunt on it. I have been walking a lot of the public land in Lancaster, lebanon and Dauphin Counties, My guess on those lands the herd is at about 3 DPSM.
I havent talked with him about who is doeing the mount yet but I would say it would be Bob Whitmer he is the best in the eria I think.

Thank you ddear for taking the time to post that.It should be beneficial to some of the fellers on here.

In the meantime I'll keep rowing my boat in the river of hatred some fellow hunters are showing toward others.

Who are you to say they are getting along? That picture could just as easily be about a dog circling his prey before going in for the kill.
