I was thinking about trying to get there sunday as well, I have stuff to do later on, but getting there early shouldn't be too bad. I haven't been over to one in a while.

I went up there on Sunday around 2 pm. I was hoping to get a firsthand looksee at those single shot slug guns with the scope mounts and rifled barrel. They are the Ultra Slug Hunter by H&R. I didn't see any...Not much in the way of muzzleloading either.

That H&R slug gun is a tack driver! Got a 20 guage for the kid and it does a ragged hole at 50 and 1 1/2 at 100! Didnt have to fool around with a bunch of different loads either! It did that with the first slugs we tried.
Several of my buddies in Illinois swear by em.

Any scope you want. My kids came with a 4x and thats adequate but I've got a 2-7x leupold on my Browning Abolt slugger and I love it.
You said you live in Holiday Park. I'm just 5 min away by 66 in North Washington. If you want to see one and shoot it sometime, let me know. My club range is only 1 mile down the road.
