I will probably be going to the Clifton Park Sportsmens Club on 2/10 to see if I can be approved to join. Their website seems to show that they have a lot of good stuff. Can anyone make any recomendations on this place? Apparently they have indoor archery (20 yards only), 3D's, 10 - 80 yard targets for archery, an indoor pistol range, and 50-200 yard rifle range, a 200-300 yard rifle range, and skeet/trap shooting. It is $100 new member fee + $75 annual fee for the first year which is kind of high, but if it is a nice club it should be worth it.

Rick James nice gobbler. I hunt every spring with a friend at his camp in Pittsford, Vt. Lots of birds and the camp life is the best. Cold beer on tap (after the hunt) satellite TV to watch the races and some of the best company in Vt. Got a nice 20 pounder, 10 1/2" with 1" spurs on the ridge across the road from Otter Valley High School.

Real nice area there, my girlfriends parents and grandparents live in Pittsford as well and have a cabin between Pittsford and Chittendon. Gorgeous land in there..........

We should meet up for a beer after hunting or maybe fish some after hunting this spring....I know some great trout fishing in the area.

Small world isn't it RJ. Being such a small town I am sure your girl friends relatives know the group and camp that I hang out in. The camp is just south of the monument on RT 7 on the east side of the highway. I usually spend the best part of the first week of the season down there. I helped that same group of guys do some sugaring this past spring and the location was Chittenden. Perhaps we will run into each other.

Was it the Wheelers or the Bairds cabin? Watch for my posts closer to spring about hunting the Rutland County area and maybe we can meet up later this year and trade a hunt or go out for a beer!

RJ those names don't ring a bell. I stay with Tom Bushey at a camp he owns with about 6 other guys. They do alot of ATV riding in the winter and early spring and I rode a couple of times with them and they visited some camps up in Chittenden. I will make a point of looking for your posts near spring so we can get together for a beer and possibly a hunt.
