RE: Coyote IN DE

And on the front page of todays' paper 2 cougars were recently sighted in Delaware one at Brandywine Creek State park and theother at Lums Pons state park, a recent few years ago one was seen in the woods where I walk everyday, about a half or 3/4 mile from my trails.I saw one some time ago chasing a rabbit, the one from Lums Pond, never said too much about it , didnt want them coming after me in the white jackets.Todays paper is 1-11-05

Which paper Ron.

Funny how F&W doesn't talk much about Cougars or even Yotes unless forced by the press for comment. Guess they don't want to start a panic about Lions Tigers and Bears and Yotes killin our dogs, cats, rabbits, deer and little kids.

what u do u know about that. a sighting at lums and brdywine makes sense to me. arent both of those areas high in deer populations??? if i was a cougar, that is where i would be. i remember there being talk about one in augustine area. that is why i hate going into the woods in the early mornings. it is getting a little crazy out here. first u worry about some new hunting putting and arrow in u by mistake and now wild a$$ animals that could kill u if they really wanted to:) yikes.

It's like voting for a president. The lesser of the two evils. It's still evil. Nature runs in cycles and has and will till we wreck this planet. Here in NJ we were allowed 2 coyote per year in 2000. Now we are allowed unlimited. I've trapped 1000+ fox in my life here. And only 2 coyotes. They are not stupid.

Moose,
I've heard Yotes hate Foxes for whatever reason. Must be a territorial food supply thing?? Watched a show while back where pack of yotes ran down and killed fox that was trying to mooch a meal off a fresh kill. As a game hunter I'd take the fox as lesser of 2 evils. They won't damage deer herd and much less to rabbit. Yote is another story.
