That's pretty interesting but the way I heard the story,it had a State Farm tag on it.It's also a strange coincidence that in the last two years,at least 3 tractor trailer loads of coyotes have broken down on I80 and the turnpike.Considering the fact that's illegal to introduce game into this state, you wouldn't think they would put a tag on it to trace it back to the source.

People are nuts.I'm an Allstate agent myself and I can tell you for a fact that deer collisions have very little effect on my loss ratio.

Some of you may remember Big Country, he hasn't been on here in awhile but he got this at work two days ago. A guy who works for him came in and told everyone how his cousin shot a coyote locally on his farm with two ear tags. One of the ear tags supposedly said Colorado Fish and Game with a phone number. The hunter called the number and said he shot one of their tagged yotes. They asked for numbers or something and the guy said " wait, I shot this thing in Pa"
The Colorado guy supposedly said were not supposed to talk about this but Allsate Insurance Co has been buying them to release in Pennsylvania to help keep down deer claims.

Whats really hilarious is that this guy absolutely believed this story 100%

Wonder how far this one will go around here.... Anyone else heard this one???? If you bought it, I got some prime Florida swamp land to sell

Boy this is the best one I have heard yet.
Although I do belive that Ins. CO's are putting pressure on deer management for all the DEC's.

Insurance companies are not particularly worried about any cause of loss that they can quantify and rate accordingly for. They give half hearted lip service about bigger things but deer claims arent even a drop in the bucket in the big picture. I've been in the ins biz for 28 years and have never heard any company express any concern over deer claims let alone lobby against them

I'd bet you get more loss ratio from fake comp claims and worked up I got a buddy that fixes that claims.

How about the ...... if a doctor gives you advanced notice that you will be going on fully disabled status in a handfull of monthes. just enough time to get all your affairs in order with disability insurance and go out and run up as many loans that are fully covered by disability insurance against the loan, get as many credit cards with full disability insurance and run them to max and in 4 monthes time after the doc puts you on full disability........ well darn the timing. It's better than filing bankrupcy and was done all by the letter of the law and leagal and legit with a fully disabled status.

Not I on that but do know of someone that did just that. I'm fully abled and working.

that one has to be a real real bummer for you guys.

I'm sure you got some doosies of stories of bogus claims.

I feel for you insurance guys...... to many people looking for angles making every honest person pay more.

I only deal with home, auto and life insurance. The vast majority of people are pretty honest with these lines.Just like everything else,a certain amount are always looking for an entitlement though.I'm just an agent not an adjuster or investigetor. Those guys have tough jobs.

BTBowhunter is 100% correct.Deer claims are a drop in the bucket compared to other losses.Until deer have the ability to sue motorists, they concern me very little.Insurance companies do not lobby game managers in any way and have nothing to do with game management.I've asked many times for someone to show evidence to the contrary and so far no one has been able to.
