the one i have looked at has a TON of tracks through the tall grass and stuff like that. what do u think??? as long as there r alot of does...there has to be some big bucks
i have seen really big tracks and one saw 2 8's that were huge...so, they r there. look for a fresh water source where u hunt...that is where they will b...especially if it is around brackish water.

Im scouting around in Kent Co. Down around Bombay Hook. All the fresh water sources are almost bone dry. I've seen deer on Refuge's where hunting is not permitted, but zip in huntable areas. Like I've stated in previous posts though, all the fields in the areas i've scouted are in standing corn. Great places for deer to hide out in this heat. I hope we get some rain and it cools down a little by Sept 2nd but it doesnt look good at this point....

lemond I was hunting last fall and at sundown 26 does came out into the field, naturally I was waiting for a 9 pt buck which my buddies son got later in the week. We were near Milton on his uncles farm.. Duckmastor 2 about 6 yrs ago I got a 10 pt buck in the that woods across from the Allee house entrance at Bombay Hook with shotgun. That is the farm where I help by buddies in the Spring, Walk in that woods sometime and check out the deer stands that I have built. One of them on the south end looks like a lifeguard stand.. They usually harvest 50 or more deer on opening day at Bombay... and some get chased over to us...

lemond Iam chairman of the state parks advisory council and every year we have wildlife issue meetings for each of the parks, and the park with the most deer seems to be Trap Pond in western Uussex. Cape Henlopen has a few but other problems exist there such as people in the park during the season. Killens doesnt allow deer hunting, not a management problem yet. Some of the Fish & Wildlife areas in the Smyrna are holding a few deer, but it is so compeitive to get a stand. Many farmers would let you hunt just to get crop damage deer if you ask some of them.. When I was at Milton last year the farmer gave me 5 crop damage permits, I could have legally got 7 deer, I got 1...
