Brrrrrrrrr!!!!!! It was crisp out today! I sat from 6:30 till 10:00 and saw nothing. I went for a walk to warm up and saw a red fox eating a dead deer that was missing it's antlers.(someone cut them off). I got back in my stand around 11:30 and didn't see a deer until around 3:00. A single doe walked within 15 feet of me and picked at some dry grass. I didn't shoot her because I was looking for antlers today. Then the flood began. From 3:30 to 4:45 I saw 31 more doe's and 5 others that I couldn't see thier heads! I'm not sure where they all came from but they filled the field across the street from my stand!
I saw 2 other hunters from the club across the street and heard 6 or 7 different groups of shots during the day. I don't think I'll get out again this week so I'll have to wait till Jan. to take another doe for the freezer.

I was really starting to get discouraged yesterday... There was a distinct lack of pressure where I hunt in Zone#2. I didn't see a deer until 4:20 PM and then this deer came out like hunting season wasn't even on. I am sure glad I stuck it out in the cold. Perseverence prevails... I just kept telling myself every minute in the stand is a minute closer to seeing a deer. This is my best Whitetail to date!!
Thanks for letting me share it with you guys.
