Anybody hunt this area lately if so how is it i used to hunt there years ago but it been awhile a few of my family members want to go shotgun season and i cant bring that many guests to my club.
Does anyone recomend anywhere else its been a while since i hunted state land.

I never hunted the area. However, I do know that the farmers seem to leave corn up late around the hatchery for some reason.

I hunt there all the time. I was there this past Friday with a doe permit. i missed a doe during a push with a friend of mine along the river by the old cobblestone house. It gets really crowded during shotgun season. They did add alot of new land there. I'll probably be there a couple of days during 6 day firearms. I took the whole week off.
