Cripes take a picture??? I've gotten over that type of thing years ago, we see bears most every week up here in this part of the state, Potter Co WMU3A, hell we almost see more bears now than deer.
Most the locals don't even bother to hunt them anymore, what good are they? Stringy meat, etc. once you got a bear rug or two lying around all they are is a bother.
14 yr old kid shot one last year not 300 yds from my garage that weighed over 700#. This one weighed about 225#

I hear ya. My parents have a place in Carbon County...4C. Eveyone who hunts in my family has bagged a bear...except me. Their attitude is that they will only shoot another bear only if its "huge".

When I saw your name I thought you might be a Potter County guy, I have hunted in Gold, just up from the Black Forest whatever off Rt 6 where they have the deer fenced in. I think that is in Ulysses township, not too far from Galeton, nice country up[ there I am in Beech Creek on Beech Creek mountain Rd., Clinton County, heading up this Sat. for the first week. I love it up there.Actually I hunted in Brookland, near Gold.
