Only about 350 hunters applied that didn't go through the course last year. They can cover it in 1 or 2 classes.
Once the lawsuits are decided (hopefully in the next day or so) NJ F&W can start mailing out permits and scheduling classes.
Remember, this is all because of Campbell. Call now Governor Codey and tell him Campbell must go!!

Well...it looks like I am one of those 350. Hopefully, I hear (either way) soon. I work full-time and need schedule around in order to take the course.
Keep me posted JBC.

Judges ruled today that Campbell lacks authority to subvert the Council's authorization of a hunt. Hopefully permits and seminar dates will be going out soon.
Judges will hear Thursday if state land will be open for bear hunting.

Update:
Seminar dates will be posted on the NJ F&W website in the next day or two along with a press release. There will be about a half dozen dates starting next week and even a few into December. If you have not sent in your application there will be open enrollment at the seminars. Just walk in, fill out a form, attend the seminar and you will get your permit in the mail. I'll post the dates here when they are official. Locations will likely be Sussex County fairgrounds, Pequest and Rutgers University.
Hunters who have already completed the course last year will be mailed their permit.

checked the site ...no updates as of yet. So all you have to do is attend a class and they will have permits there ? as in open enrollment ? What date was the hunt last year ?
