If you are from Scranton; you know that the best kielbasi comes from Polish markets in the "Upper ," Mid", or "Lower Valley" and can tell which market it came from just by the strength of the garlicy aroma. You can understand what someone from Carbondale or Dickson City is talking about without going to the Carbondale or Dickson City to English dictionary. You can buy ducks with the blood to make a certain Eastern European "delicacy". The best pizza comes from Old Forge but you always know where to find some that's better. And if you are lucky enough to have relatives in the Pittsburgh area you can get the best pierogies ever made.
