Default Maryland Deer Processing

I have high hopes of getting my first deer this season. I have not learned how to butcher a deer yet, so I will be bringing it to someone to have it processed.

I have a few names of people who process deer in my area, looking for a few more. Can anyone suggest a reputable deer processor near the Frederick Maryland area? Thanks in advance.

This link from the MD DNR shows the meat markets that accept deer donations for the feed the hungry program. I see that there are two processors shown in Frederick. They should be reputable, I would think.

Good luck this season.

I would highly recommend Tim Pry (301-834-8752) in Knoxville. He bones everything and vaccum packs your deer. It lasts much longer in the freezer that way.

If you want to spend less and get cuts with the bone in, and freezer wraped, then Shuffs (301-271-2231) on Rt 15 N. would be my choice.

Rick,
If you get a deer while we are hunting together, I can show you how to do it, I'm sure with this fine group of hillbillies we've assembled, (bear, slice and lefty) we all can help you out!!

p.s. I'm not a hillbilly just those 3 guys are.
